Abstract
Midfacial Skeletal Expansion procedures have become an alternative to traditional methods of upper airway restriction syndrome treatment. These procedures include variations of bone-borne and bone-tooth-borne appliances that separate the midpalatal suture leading to outward-forward rotation of the midfacial complex. The protocol for the Midfacial expansion include several steps having aligner tooth movements one of the essential and most critical. The Direct Aligner Applications will be discussed as an innovative approach to aligner orthodontic treatment during skeletal maxillary expansion procedures.
