From Uninformed Consent to Shared Decision Making:
an ethic, ergonomic and effective approach in Dentistry

Abstract
Informed Consent is not yet a standard practice in Dentistry, due to several reasons, some understandable from a practical point of view, some paradoxically self-defeating and cause of potential problems, that could be prevented and resolved by an ethic and effective communication in consultations.

The conference will share an ergonomic approach to use Informed Consent and evolve it in Shared Decision Making protocol, in order to obtain more compliance from our patients, avoiding legal and ethical issues in our daily clinical practice.
